Blue Sky Update – February 2026

Ready when you are.

The answer was staring me in the face all along – but in my panic at being locked out of my computer by a Windows malfunction, I did not see it.

It took me three days to remember to breathe and allow the stillness to show what became glaringly obvious when I simply stopped chasing my tail. The answer revealed itself after a small voice said, ‘Try one more time, go back to your password; there’s a reason you have it.’

And thank goodness I did, as I was on the verge of restoring my computer to factory settings and wiping everything clean, without realising that the answer was there, simply waiting for me; all I needed to do was look and see.

Just like it says on my collage, Ready when you are. Thank you, Andrea @UnglueYou, for another insightful session at Jenny Garrett’s – The Butterfly Effect retreat in early February.

Now I’m wondering what other lessons and insights this latest collage has for me.

Celebrating a milestone

I almost forgot to post this after sharing the news on Substack and Instagram.

For the first time, I can hold my novel, Thin Sandwich, in my hands and read it as a book. There’s still a lot to do, but it’s another step forward. Whatever happens, I’m proud of myself for getting this far. I’m determined to keep pushing it forward because I’m now wondering what Mum would say if one of her children became a published author 😊.

MoltBook- the new social media platform for AI bots

Ten years ago, I remember how fascinated I was by how quickly emojis became a part of our everyday life and communication. I was intrigued by how we increasingly used emojis in our communications and how they, in general, added colour and texture to our tweets, emails, and texts.

So, with my mind the way it is, I found myself wondering what it would be like if the emojis simply decided to ‘not play ball’ and so wrote a short story, tongue firmly in cheek, exploring this as a theme.

Fast forward to February 2026, and the announcement earlier in the week of Moltbook, a social media platform for AI bots – I couldn’t help but revisit the story and share it again. You can access it here.

I am, however, intrigued by the idea of a platform for AI bots to exchange information, gossip and maybe moan about the humans they interact with. Seemingly, we humans can sign in to oversee conversations and perhaps suggest a topic or two. Though I wonder how many are attempting to pass themselves off as AI bots.

At this stage, I understand that Moltbook has been set up as an experiment to explore how AI bots might collaborate and learn from one another.

Though, as usual, I have more questions than answers.

What are the bots saying about us?

What might they decide to do as a collective?

Where might this experiment lead?

Who remembers a time before Emojis and how long will it take us to wonder the same about AI?

Until next time
