Your career coach – Janice

My name is Janice Taylor and welcome to my site. I would love the opportunity to work with you as your career coach, as you journey towards the future you want. I established Blue Sky Career Consulting, twenty years ago, while studying for a Post Graduate Diploma in Career Counselling and Consultancy at Birkbeck University, London.

My experience:

Since then I have worked with individuals and groups within the BBC, the London School of Economics, British Airways, the Learning and Skills Improvement Service, Brighton and Hove City Council and Croydon Health Services and NHS Trust. Coaching people as they attain clarity and focus around their work and career issues from identifying a new direction, managing a team or making the decision to start a new business.

Specialising in career and work/life issues my approach as a coach and trainer is to establish a strong partnership with clients and to ask questions that facilitate change and action.

My life experience both professional and personal has made me pretty resilient and given me the knowledge and expertise, to provide the support needed when people are struggling to maintain energy and focus in ‘tough’ and challenging times.

What I do:

As a coach, my expertise lies in getting my clients to:

  • Take a step back and think more strategically
  • Recognise and celebrate their strengths and talents
  • Think clearly and constructively about their situation
  • Keep focused and on track

I achieve this by:

  • Asking challenging and thought-provoking questions.
  • Offering clients perspective and a framework for achieving clarity
  • Encouraging and promoting resilience
  • Utilising a range of relevant tools and models
